6-Hour day trip | Do you want to experience magnificent nature without other tourists? On this trip, we will move off the marked hiking trails, and we will have the nature to ourselves most of the time.
Our route will take us across dams, and after a cosy start with cyclamens on relatively flat terrain, the steepness will quickly start to increase as we hike alongside running glacier water and with a view of the 3,000-metre-tall mountains.
At around 2,400 metres, we will visit the Wielinger Kees glacier – a fantastic natural experience, where the guide will explain why the glacier was formed and how it has changed over time.
At the glacier, we will eat our packed lunches in the splendour of this natural phenomenon, before heading back the same way we came. It is often easier to enjoy the magnificent view when gravity is not working against you. Therefore, it is usually on the way down that most people spot marmots.
The trip to the trekking area is an experience in itself. We will drive together in a bus from Alpenhaus Kesselfall, whereupon we will take the open railway line up the mountain.
