Approx 3½ hours | Get a taste of life as a mountain biker with single tracks and vertical metres, and learn to overcome the challenges on your trip through the Kaprun Valley.
This trip is for people who want to learn to ride a mountain bike safely in the mountains. Perhaps you tried this before and want to improve your technique. Perhaps you are totally new to it. Therefore, we focus on the techniques, and you will receive tips and tricks along the way.
Everyone meets at the bike camp at Alpenhaus Kesselfall, where you will borrow a mountain bike that fits you. Before we go, we will teach you how to brake and change gears on a mountain bike. It is an entirely different thing to know how to brake when you are hurtling down a steep mountain. After a descent of 300 metres, we will get to the first trail, where you will feel how the bike moves over smaller stones and tree roots. And at the same time, you will train how to maintain your balance.
We then ride down this single trail to Kaprun. From Kaprun, we ride on down the World Cup track from 2002, where you can train your new techniques up and down the steep passages. After about 1 hour on this cool track, we will take a brake at Klamsee before riding off – not quite as quickly – upwards back towards Alpenhaus Kesselfall.
