9 hours | Scale Wiesbachhorn. The mountain, with its 3,543 metres, is one of the most prominent in the national park Hohe Tauern. And in the world of the mountaineers, it is described as a really great place to kick start your passion for mountain climbing.
The trip begins at an altitude of 2,000 metres, by the dams towards Hans Schweniger Haus. It is already steep here, and the path has many treacherous passages. This is where the trekkers usually continue straight, while us mountaineers equip our climbing straps and start climbing up through the first passage. It is a steep climb up to the top of Wiesbachhorn.
Here, we will take a longer break and enjoy our packed lunches and the view towards Gross Glockner, while we rest our arms and legs. And we are certain you will agree it was worth the effort. Many other mountain climbers before you have gotten the taste for climbing right here on Wiesbachhorn.
